Branch Development Manager

Job Summary of Branch Development Manager:

As a Branch Development Manager with Banner Bank you will manage the efficient daily operation of a branch office, including sales, operations, consumer/small business lending, high client service levels, security and safety in accordance with the Bank's objectives. Develop new deposit and loan business. Provide a superior level of client service and promotes the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation. Achieve individual and branch sales goals through new business sales, referrals, and account retention.

Responsibilities of Branch Development Manager:

• Offer guidance, training, and supervision to branch staff members, delegate daily tasks, and perform roles in the absence of other team members.
• Responsible for meeting predetermined Bank and branch objectives by actively partaking in the Banner Way Sales Management and Sales Management Systems methodologies.
• Form partnerships in community endeavors to elevate the Bank's visibility and facilitate business expansion.
• In charge of overseeing and conducting frequent observation and coaching sessions with the sales team to assist in securing new business opportunities. Lead Touch Bases, Huddles, and Skill builders to strengthen the capabilities of the sales team.
• Reach out to potential leads and existing clients through outbound calls to gain insights into their current and anticipated financial needs.
• Direct the sales activities related to Consumer and Business Credit cards, Account Assessment, and Treasury Management Solutions, and additional areas. Carry out Merchant Services sales and establishment duties, including addressing ongoing Merchant Services matters.
• Foster a culture of high performance within the branch team during Bank and Division Sales Campaigns. Implement promotional tactics to encourage the growth of core account numbers.
• Responsible for complying with, and ensuring staff follows, policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.

Education & Certifications of Branch Development Manager:

• Bachelor's Degree: required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
• NMLS registration required

Experience of Branch Development Manager:

• 4+ years of bank branch leadership and operations experience required
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory/management role leading a project, process or team required

Skills of Branch Development Manager:

• Advanced understanding of the core tenets of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation, and systems. Proficient knowledge of the full spectrum of retail products and services. Extensive familiarity with all stages of the consumer lending process.
• Proven client service, interpersonal, and relationship building skills. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills; proper phone and email etiquette required.
• Possess strong sales, cross-selling, and referral abilities. Show success in sales accomplishments and advancing business development objectives. Display proficiency in budget development and management for income and expenses, with expertise in using MS Word and Excel.
• Shows prowess in mathematical operations, analysis, problem solving, and negotiation talents. Skilled in examining client credit data and other financial information.
• Show aptitude in training employees on customer support, sales approaches, operational procedures, product knowledge, and consumer lending. Sound understanding of management and supervision principles, policies, and legal mandates. Demonstrated prowess in leadership, team establishment, and managerial acumen.
• Understanding the legal landscape in which banking institutions operate, encompassing both state and federal regulations.
