SUMMARY
The Laboratory Assistant supports the processing of raw biological materials for clinical control products and plays a key role in maintaining production equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and completing required documentation.

This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with blood products, attentive to detail, and thrives in a production-oriented laboratory environment. Candidates must be able to work both independently and collaboratively to meet daily production goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process raw biological materials, specifically bovine and porcine blood
Maintain and clean production equipment and containers
Accurately complete all required paperwork and batch records
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene, and Exposure Control standards
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Associates degree is preferred

Experience: 0-2 years of related laboratory or production experience
Willingness and ability to work with blood and blood-derived materials
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently on routine tasks
Solid problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication abilities
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and adapting to shifting priorities

Pay Rate: $22/hour
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Employment Type: Contract role (W2 employment), potential to go permanent after 3-6 months.
